West Egg Literati: Supporting
the Literati Community
We are writers and readers associated with the Graduate School
of Liberal Studies at Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN. Membership
is open to any graduate student in the MALS and MFA programs at
the university. West Egg Literati is responsible for creating
and fostering community within the GLS program as well as with
the writing world at large. The group hosts and promotes
multiple events each year including open mics, readings, discussions,
and other literary, cultural, and social outings, all of which
are free and open to the public. We know that sometimes
it’s hard to get together, so we’re building
infrastructure here.
Curious about what we’re up to?
Please check our calendar of events.
If you are a Hamline GLS student, then you are a part of West Egg.
If you are interested in helping with the planning of West Egg
events, please
contact us.
West Egg Literati is also the proud home of the literary magazine, rock,
paper, scissors. rps is a magazine devoted to publishing work that contributes to the literary and social discussion, and that is
written by current graduate students in MFA and Liberal Arts programs.
rps is
published annually by GLS students and contains poetry, essays,
interviews, creative nonfiction and fiction.
